Need Help With Downloading Songs To PC from Ipod Nano

Our computer crashed on April 1st and I had to basically rebuild Windows XP and lost our file libraries which contained my DS Ipod music. Now everything is back up and running, but we can't figure out how to take that music off his ipod and put it back onto the PC.

When it loads everything from the ipod, the file library from his ipod comes up, but turns grey and we can't check or uncheck anything.

Anyone know how to get music to transfer back to computer by using the ipod?

You can't without a third party software. I use Anapod Explorer by Red Chair. You should find it if you Google it.
