I will be traveling with my 7 mo DD and she will have outgrown the infanct car seat by then so i will need to take a convertible car seat on the plane. Which brand/type fits? I have read anything aournd 16 inches wide but haven't actually seen any with those dimensions. Is the Britax roundabout a good fit? ANy help would be appreciated. I want to make sure she flies safely!

The roundabout fits fine rearfacing although the person in front of you won't be able to recline. You'll have to use the window seat for the car seat. I always let the person know about the recline so they can move if they want. Or have the flight attendent move them. Some flight attendents are pissy about rear facing convertable seats so you might want to bring documentation about 'proper use.'

I found it easier to install with the airplane seat reclined and then pulled/pushed into proper position.

We have used our Evenflo on the airplane a few times without any problems.
