Hi there!

We hope to be going the week of Thanksgiving, and want to stay in a Pool home (heated), and at least 3 bedrooms/2 bathrooms that is fairly close to WDW.

I have two small children who will be 6 1/2 and 4 1/2 when we arrive, and my sis might be joining us for 1/2 of the week with her 1 yr old. Total people: 4-5 adults/2 kids/1 baby

I'd love any input that you all can share (where to look, etc). We will be driving from NC so we'll have our car, and if my sis drives--I'll need space for at least 2 cars.

Any help--greatly appreciated. We are trying to do Disney "on a budget" so I'm not looking to spend too much if I can help it. I think our plan is to stay 7-8 nights.

Thanks in advance! :)

I have just spent hours researching pool/spa villas for our 2 families of 9. We are looking around the same price and have found many. If I were you I'd search the closest to WDW first, then farther as to availability. The closer the more expensive, but not by too much. I think they all will be in your price range. All the information is fresh in my head, so if you have any questions, please ask!

WELCOME TO THE DIS!!!!!!!!!!

This is a list of common websites to use for renting. They are all rent direct villas. I prefer going this route because you'll save 20-50% this way.

www.vrbo.com
www.orlandovillas.com
www.onlineflordiavillas.com

It can get overwhelming at first when you are looking. Just try to keep a list of those that interest you and that you send inquiries about. It can be fun picking the rental.

Welcome to the DIS boards...sent you a PM with some info. Hope it helps. :sunny:

As a TRAVEL AGENT, I can confidently recommend AWARD POOL HOMES . (<--click on name to link to their website) I have worked with them for the past 8 years and never had a bad stay myself - or for a client. I do NOT make anything by referring them this way (I'd appreciate a name drop if you do book, but I don't earn anything - Robin @ Aurora Prestige Travel Service). My point is that, from a Travel Professional standpoint, they are a safe and reliable company to rent a private pool home through. You can't beat it!

Their homes are all within 9 miles of WDW main gate. EASY access and there is a large grocery store nearby. (a Publix, if I remember correctly)

I was wavering back and forth between staying onsite or offsite for our May trip, and I know once we got in a small hotel room I'd be wishing for the nice spacious home. Especially with a baby (18 month old at time of travel) - He needs quite to sleep well - and we need to be able to do things (not be stuck in one room anyway) when he's napping.
