Need help with AP ???

I'm trying to decide about whether APs would be good for us now that I am retiring in June and think we will go for it. I don't have a DC card, so there are no discounts for me on APs, right? Also, I just used that new code to book a January visit at CS and I think that it would have been a few bucks cheaper had I had an annual pass. If I buy AP vouchers now, can I get my January stay at the AP rate or do I need to already have the APs? Also, where do I turn in the voucher for the APs? Here, just before we leave or somewhere in WDW? Thanks for any help you can give!

You do not have to have an AP or a voucher to book an AP rate room.

Nope, no discounts for AP other than the soon to end DC.
You don't need to have an ap to make the reservation, you do need them to check in.
The only way to activate the passes is at Guest services at one of the major parks or at guest services at Downtown disney.

Sounds like my best plan is to get the vouchers, call to try to change the ressie to an AP rate, then stop at Downtown Disney on the way from the airport to get the vouchers activated. Thanks, All!
