Hey Dis! I am the "official planner" for a family trip in Nov and haven't been to WDW in almost 15 years. We are a group of 8 adults and my DD (2.5 yrs). AK is so much different than when I was there last and need help planning. How do you schedule your AK day? I'm trying to decide the order of rides and what FP to prioritize. Also trying to decide between Tusker House for breakfast or as a ROL package dinner (assuming we can get it). I recall enjoying Flame Tree BBQ, so we may QS lunch or just snack. Definitely planning on Tamu for dole whip with rum Send me your recs, friends! We have time, of course, but planning is holding me over til the real thing! TIA

1. I'm trying to decide the order of rides and what FP to prioritize.
2. Also trying to decide between Tusker House for breakfast or as a ROL package dinner (assuming we can get it).

1. Flights of Passage. Other two... up to you.
2. You won't need a RoL package, in my opinion.
Arrive 45 min. before the show. Pick a seat.
3. Our favorite DAK meals are at Yak & Yeti.

For FOP, fast pass after Safari or there first then head to Safari?

Depending on the number of other guests at DAK during your visit:
Book FoP, in advance, as soon as you can book any FP.
Get whatever time is available.
If you don't, you might not be able to book it at all.

Once (and if) you do get FoP FPs, then book anything else you'd like at DAK.

Every park day my main goal is to not zig zag around the park. That’s why planning our day and knowing where we will be at roughly a certain time so I can add my Fast passes in accordingly. I do this for a specific member of my family, he can only handle so much so I’m a pro at it now. Our plan this trip will be start in Dinoland for the first hour, head towards EE and ride with FP, No Kali because it’s down, ride KS with FP, eat lunch, ride NR with FP and FoP with DAS pass and leave.

Give Santulli Canteen a try - in the Pandora section. Bowls where you pick your protein, base and sauce. Really good!

1. FP - FoP if yo ucan get it. Otherwise, be there an hour before opening for RD. If you can get FoP, then i would get FP for Safari and Everest.
2. I don't think you need the dining package for RoL. Generally not that crowded, yo ucan find a good seat 30-45 before easily. TH is good for breakfast
3. Still enjoy Flametree as QS, also consider Satu'Li Canteen in Pandora or Yak and Yeti are also good. If you want to go to a signature, Tiffins is also good.
We enjoy taking a break at Nomad Lounge next to Tiffins mid afternoon. Great drinks and beautiful view outside by the river.

You guys are great! Excellent tips. I think we will try for a mid morning Tusker house ROL package (didn't realize you could do the package with breakfast!) and get FoP, KS, and EE FPs. We will also try to see Navi River Journey, Dinoland kiddo area, and Lion King show. Hopefully it's not too packed of a day!

We also enjoy finding Nemo after lunch at flame tree BBQ. Your DD will probably sleep through it ( not because it’s boring but all the singing) and it gives a good rest rest. I also agree with not ping ponging around the park. Do 1 land and get out. It’s too big a park to do much back and forth. ALso if you can FP a pandora ride, do KS first. The animals seem to be more active in the morning. BTW I loved the dole whip with rum but DH thought it was too much rum. Can you really ever have too much rum?????

Tusker House is our favorite character meal and we always try to book it as a ppo reservation. Get there early, enjoy a good meal, lots of character interactions. Then we can wander around a bit while the park is still closed. We usually head over to EE and have been able to do as many as 6 rides before there is any kind of line. I can't do 6 rides in a row on that one, but DH can and has!

Your first priority will be getting a FOP FP for your party. Your 2.5 will not be able to ride so you can do a rider swap or you can send one adult with the 2.5 yo to Navi River and the rest do FOP.

As for park touring it is typically best to travel counterclockwise (the mass of people will be going to Pandora or the safari) - start over by dinosaur, then Everest, kali river, don't forget to do the animal trails. If you travel this way around the park then by lunch time you could be close to tusker house to do a ROL dining package for lunch. You will want to do the Safari maybe before or after lunch and then you could make your way over to Pandora - with hopes of getting your FPs for this land around 1 or 2ish.

or you could take a break after lunch and go back to the resort for naps/res/pool but you would have to get back to the park for ROL - you would have to check the time of your show tickets (if doing the dining package). Pandora is an area to hit in the evening time just to walk around ( you could do this after ROL) and this is another option for getting those FOP or Navi FP.
