Hi!
I'm a newbie in the DISign world. Kind of creative and what I call artsy pretty much all my life :artist:, but alway have been missing the imagination or ideas.
Now I have plenty : iron-on shirts, CM thank you cards, name tags and 2 designs for my wheelchair! (plus, it gave me ideas to make shirts non-trip related!). :woohoo:

But now I'm stuck. I guess the fact I'm french is not helping...

I'm making 2 shirts design that are "mother-daughter trip" type...
For the back, I want a different design for each of us.
I want to use "Mama" or "Mom" for... well, my mom's shirt.
But for mine???
What's the word I could use???

Of course I could use "Mother" and "daughter". But that's dull.
If I call my mom "mama" or just "mom"... How does my mom call me??? :confused3
How do moms call their daughters? Is there a nickname for "daughter"???
I can only think of "baby" (which sounds more like something a guy would use for his girlfriend...) and "kiddo" (which my mom doesn't like at all, thinks it sounds masculine, like for a little boy)... but the best yet, still, IMO.

My only other option, which I don't love much either, would be to use "Queen mom" (or queen mama) and "princess"... princess:
But you know what? Even though we end up figuring that's the best option, I'd really like to learn if there's a nickname for "daughter"!!!

So I'm stuck! :headache:

Could someone please help? Or at least give me your opinion on the best option?

Thanks a million! :flower3:

I always call my daughters "baby girl" or by their individual nicknames. Adrienne is "A", Rachel is "goon" and Miranda is "Randa-roo". I also call my little one "angel baby". But mostly it's Baby girl. This probably wasn't real helpful but I thought I'd share.

Good Luck!

Hi!
Well yeah, it does help!...
1st it means as an english speaking mom, you don't have another nickname for your daughters as "baby" (well... baby girl!)
2nd It tells me to either forget "baby" if I don't like it or that I can go with it, since it's really something mom's use! :teacher:

I could of course forget the whole thing, but I really want something that show the link between us... that if we're standing side by side, someone behind us would know she's my mom, and I'm her daughter...
Problem is, maybe I'm doing all this for absolutely nothin' since I'll be stuck in my wheelchair most of the time :headache: (meaning people will only see the front of my shirt except for when I'll be transfering in an attraction, wandering through a too-tight shop, or feel very good!).

But you know what, I have too many ideas for shirts, so I decided to do "concepts" and have 2-sided shirts to compensate... :rotfl:

Argh.
Waiting for more suggestions, 'cause I'm still undecided between "baby", "kiddo" and "princess" (to go with "queen mama").
And now, of course "baby girl".
I guess "baby girl" is a little better than just "baby"... less confusion with what a guy would call his girlfriend, don't you think?!

Thanks,
davishalfdoz! :flower3:

princess: I'm with Disneymotherof3, put Queen on your mom's and Princess on yours. After all, you'll always be her princess - no matter how old you are. princess:

My vote was going to be for "Queen" for Mom and "Princess" for you. That's a cute idea though. I might have to share your idea somehow.

Thanks everyone!

Well it seems there isn't a nickname for "daughter" like "mom" for "mother"...
And you all prefer queen (or queen mom) and princess princess: from my 3 initial choices.

It was also my favorite from the beginning, but I wanted your input.

Thank you very much!!!
