Me and my DD18 will be at Hollywood Studios and are trying to figure out where to eat... We will be on the dining plan and neither of us are big on seafood. We are open to going to a resort in the area or even switching parks like maybe Epcot.

Any suggestions would be appreciated...
Thanks

I know others won't agree but Mama Melrose's flatbreads are good if that works in your dining plan :thumbsup2

I'll agree!! We love Mama Melrose. Good food, great atmosphere.

I know OP is on the dining plan, so this does not apply. But if someone is not on the dining plan, I'd also suggest Brown Derby (one of our favorites), but I wouldn't want to spend two TS credits on one place.

My mother and I always did Sci-Fi for lunch at DHS. We did do dinner one time but, didn't really care for it. We are burger and fries girls. The dinner menu is very different. It's a fun atmosphere that we both enjoy. She can't wait to go back with us in a couple years to eat there again.

We love Sci-Fi for lunch, also a trip over to Beaches and Cream at the BC is fun too!

Yay! I've gotten alot of people saying that this is not very good, but I totally disagree. While we are too cheap to get their very expensive meals, in our family of five we get an appetizer and share three flatbreads and it works! We are New Yorkers (just went to Little Italy yesterday yumyum! Not that it compares... hahahaha) and we still think that mama melrose is yummy! I think that it is better to stay in the park you are in than go all the way to epcot for dinner.

I like Mama Melrose's, too, much more than the reviews on these boards would indicate. I am also a native New Yorker exposed to wonderful Italian food. Mama Melrose's does not compare, but it is still enjoyable for what it is. It's not a bad option in this situation.

And I have to ask, where in Little Italy did you eat last night?

Meatloaf and PB&J milkshakes at 50's Prime Time - always a winner:thumbsup2

Brown Derby is one of my favorites in all of WDW, so much so that I've made it a point to get there every trip.

50's Prime Time was a fun experience, and I totally liked the food.

Can't say I'd recommend anything else I've tried in DHS, although I've never been to Sci-Fi yet - want to go.

Of course, there are lots of other good places to consider if you're also thinking about Epcot or the Boardwalk Area...

50's Primetime and Sci-Fi Dine In are 2 of my very favorite restaurants at WDW. They both have very unique atmosphere and yummy food. 50's is usually pretty interactive and a lot of fun. Sci-Fi is a much quieter place because everyone is so engrossed in watching the movie clips while they eat. Either one is a winner in my book!!! Good luck deciding!:goodvibes

My opinion would be to take the walk over to Epcot and have a nice dinner there (and maybe catch Illuminations during/after).

We very much enjoy the 50's PTC. The food is good and the atmosphere is a hoot.
There are many wonderful restaurants in the Boardwalk and World Showcase areas of the world. However if you are planning on leaving to eat and then come back to DHS, you will eat up a lot of park time doing this. If on the other hand, you plan on eating after you are fininshed for the day that is very do able.
At the Boardwalk you have Flying Fish which is a 2 TS Signature Restaurant. We went years ago and enjoyed it.
ESPN Club is a typical sports bar and we enjoy it for what it is. It is 1 TS but does not take ADR's. Big River Grille is a brew pub. It gets mixed reviews here on the DIS. We ate there years ago and we enjoyed it. Kouzina is the new restaurant by Cat Cora, the Food Network celebrity chef. We haven't been yet,
At the YC/BC you have the Yachtsman Steakhouse, a 2 TS Signature Restaurant. Most here on the DIS love it, but it is not our favorite. We will not return here. There is also the Yacht Club Galley which gets good reviews.
The Beach Club has the Cape May Cafe Clambake. It is an all you care to eat buffet. It too gets mostly good reviews.
There are many good restaurants at the Swan & Dolphin, but they are not on the DDP.
We love the International restaurants of World Showcase. We usually get Park Hoppers and do a park during the day and go to Epcot for dinner several nights of our trip. We love Teppan Edo in Japan, Restuarunt Marrakesh in Morroco, Rose & Crown in the UK, Le Cellier in Canada, San Angel Inn in Mexico and Biergarden in Germany
Have a great trip

50's Prime Time is a must do every trip. Love it here. Good food & fun. Also MM is good to.
