So... We are going on a Disney Cruise! :cool1: But I can not fly all that way and not visit Universal Studios!:love:

I just need help on how to swing it and the cheapest way to do it. So far, we plan to fly in on a Friday then overnight somewhere in the Port Canaveral area. The cruise departs on Saturday.

When we get back, we will be booted off the ship by 9am I believe and then I plan to head to the Hard Rock....check in.... and right to Universal!

I would like to overnight Sat night at HRH to take advantage of the express pass for 2 days. I don't really know where I want to stay Sunday night but somewhere cheaper. Planning to fly out Monday early to get home by Monday night.

I don't have a clue the cheapest way to get to each place. :surfweb:

Help!!

Oh.. 2 adults and 2 tweens in 2015 :yay:

You could always stay at Cabana Bay for the last night. It is the new Loews hotel that has rates between about $90-$130.

Don't know how important this is, but if you stay at Cabana Bay you will not get the unlimited Express Pass.

Unless I'm mistaken.

you are correct.
no free usage of the express lines when staying at Cbay.

the op can get two days of early entry based on the saturday night stay at one of the 3 deluxe onsite hotels.
(day of check in and day of check out)

looks like amy will stay saturday night at hrh.
she will receive the EE and express that saturday and check out day sunday.

she can keep her luggage with bell services sunday until she is ready to pick it up and then move over to Cbay for the night.

Keep in mind a one night stay at a Universal hotel gives you 2 days early entry and 2 days unlimited express pass. You get both your check in and check out day, so you don't have to book 2 nights to get 2 days.

Second point, the 4th value resort Universal is opening mentioned above doesn't open until April, and while much cheaper doesn't offer the perks you get with the other 3 hotels, like the express passes.

There are any number of discount hotels in the area to choose from. Do you belong to a hotel rewards program? I'd start by looking into hotels in the brand you already have points accumulated for. I find trip advisor a great place to start researching, to kind of make a list from. I usually narrow the search by price and amenities, and then compare my top picks.

I definitely only want to spend one night at Universal Hotel. I will look at the Cabana bay pricing vs a hotel at the Airport or surrounding area. Will def look at Trip Advisor.:thumbsup2

Do you think car rental is the way to go or just keep paying to get from airport-hotel-port-hotel-airport?? Not sure what would be cheaper.:moped:

Thanks for all your input,

Amy :)
