Need help with a kitchen banquette...

Does anyone out there know anything about kitchen banquettes? We are in the process of remodeling our kitchen and dining areas and are planning to put a banquette in our dining/study area. What I would like some help with, is the dimensions? How long, wide and deep should these be? I have looked online some but have not been able to find a source that gives sizes? If any of you have any knowledge please fill us in! Thanks, Becky

We did our kitchen over and built in a corner bench unit. I don't know the dimensions offhand but a cabinetmaker would know. We basically filled our space but I know there are standard dimensions for height and depth for comfort and table compatability. We also made the bench seat lift up for extra storage. I really like ours, it's a great use of space. I can't post pictures but I could email them to you if you need more info (of course, I would have to take come pics first!)

Hi, would love to see pics but do not want to trouble you. We also have to fill in a space for length but have no clue what the depth and height should be. Thanks for responding!!

Are you having them built? Because a cabinet maker should know size. I would be happy to take some pics for you...I'll try to do it over the weekend. I will measure too.

No we are building them ourselves. The cabinet lady at the local home improvement store said you can use the over the frige cabinets for the base portion but I not sure about that. I guess once we decide on what the measurements should be we will look into those cabinets. I would love to see pics...thanks for doing taking the time to help us out!!!
