Need Help With A Good Long Lasting Recliner

I Need Help With Finding A Good Quality Leather Recliner For My Hubby, He Destroys Them In 3 Years Or Less, Lazy Boy, Berkline Have Not Survived His Wear.

Anyone Have Any Good Luck With A Particular Brand??

We had a Lane and my eldest son KO'd that one by running and jumping on it. My DH is tall 6'4" and we bought a "Tall" Lazy Boy. We bought it at a regular furniture store(rather high end) and it still looks great and we've had no problems with it(now the younger kid runs and jumps on it, but it's going strong). It actually looks better than the ones in the Lazy Boy stores(not so "puffy" looking). It's now 5 yrs old and it was expensive around $900.

Only problem is it's so deep my feet can't touch the floor, so basically DH uses it.

My Dad still has the one we got him in 1983. The seat is starting to sag but it still works. Might be time to up grade him.

I've had a Lazy Boy for four years. The frame has held up, but the fabric hasn't at all. I sat in a Bradington Young(spelling). Expensive, but extremely well built and thick leather. These set you back around $1500. A great chair that will last a decade. So add up the $800 every five years or less. Just a thought.

The fabric on DH's 6 year old Lazy Boy is thread bare in spots! I feel your pain!

the hubby has destroyed the fabric and frames of 2 lazy boys....i was looking into flexssteel.......i want the leather cover, steel frame, customers with consistently positive responses, long life of chair and fabric....
