Need help with a dinner decision!

We have been to the Wave and loved it! Now we are planning on our first meal at Cali Grill BUT they are no longer serving flatbreads and we are not sushi eaters.

Should we go back to the Wave or try Cali Grill?

I am not an authority, since I haven't eaten at either place, but I am always up for trying something new on each trip!

I have never been to either...but I am always up for what I haven't been to before. Do Cali Grill...it isn't like they only had flatbread and sushi for appys...

Hi Nicki!

We dined at the Cali Grille about 9 years ago on our first wedding anniversary. It was the most memorable meal we've ever had in WDW!

The food was amazing! Back then they didn't serve sushi (not a fan either) or flatbreads. Just basic appetizers, still delicious.

I say try it now while you have no kids. I could never go there with my little 2YO monster!

You will LOVE it!!!

I have eaten at both, and probably actually like the wave more. But I still love Cali Grill, too. It's definitely worth trying at least once!

I forgot about Todd's last minute "I'm just not feeling that tonight" dinner mood swings.

Cali Grille requires a CC hold and 48 hour cancelation policy. If you cancel within 48 hours it's a $20 charge per person. That might be the deal breaker on this one.....

I forgot about Todd's last minute "I'm just not feeling that tonight" dinner mood swings.

Have you been to Narcoossee's yet? That's our current favorite. Very good food, excellent service, beachy casual atmosphere, amazing views! Oh and to die for almond crusted cheesecake! No CC hold to reserve. Plus the dress code is not nearly as fancy as Cali Grille. People actually don't dress up for Narcoossee's. It's real comfy casual, just no flip flops or tank tops. My DH loves Narcoossee's so much we're staying at the GF just so we can order room service from there!

Poor little DH, he is getting such a bad rep on the Dis boards for being a huge PIA!

But it's okay...we love him anyway. He's just a typical "man". Let me know how Cali Grill is and maybe we'll put it on the list for next year (we've never done a signature restaurant--except Brown Derby--and we didn't like that at all).
