Need help with a dining reservation!

We are 179 days out and I made all of our reservations last night except for one. On this particular day, there is nothing available that my family likes. I was hoping for 50's Prime Time or Sci Fi and they are booked, 6 months out for a party of 5. Do they not have many tables to accommodate a family of 5 or are they really that hard to get into? What are my chances of a cancellation?

Also if anyone has any recommendations that would be great. I'll include a list of the places we have reserved so you have an idea as to what we like. I'm pretty sure I've looked at every single menu but maybe I'm missing something?? lol

Oh and this particular date is MVMCP and we aren't going so anything at MK is out.

Both are very popular, and fill up fast. Keep checking, try odd times, and remember, it is very possible to get a reservation in your 7 days before your vacation, so all is not lost!

it seems like often people freak out that they can't get something at 180 days out but then all sorts of things open up in that 6 months.
i've had a party of 11 before and have been able to get what i want less then 180 days out.
i'm going with free dining in september and there are only 2 of us so that does make it easier to begin with but i've been able to switch things around multiple times getting exact dates and times that i wanted every time i've decided to tweak things and at this point i'm only 70 some odd days away.

As pp have said, just keep checking. They have not released f! Packages yet for December plus I don't think the hours are final yet either. The other thing is they just released more tables for H&V today. They might do the same for 50s and Sci Fi.

Keep checking! I was bummed I could get a BOG dinner at 180 but I just got one at a great time 5:30 at 92 days out!

Just to add my voice to the "just keep checking" chorus! At 4:30 AM this morning, I finally got BOG for dinner at a reasonable time for us! It was not available at even 187 days out for any lunch or dinner, but 3 weeks later, got lucky using the TP autosearch. Just keep looking, be patient, things change constantly.

REGARDING TOUGH-TO-GET-ADR's:
1) Yes, eateries frequently Sell Out.
2) But, there is a way to get an ADR.
3) Find the Concierge at your resort with the Dining Override Code. *
. . . there are 1-2 Concierge at each resort with "The Code"
. . . this allows the Concierge to insert an ADR for ANY Eatery at ANY TIME
. . . Example: insert an ADR for BoG or CRT, at any time, for any size group, even if completely sold out
4) This is typically used for specific reasons, but the Concierge can give to anyone THEY like
. . . usually WDW general managers and above, and their guests
. . . Disney/ABC vice-president and above and their guests
. . . Disney or Disney/ABC Marketing Dept guests
5) I have added people, even to tough-to-get eateries.

* When looking at the Ala Carte dining ADR computer screen, one can see available tables for "x" amount of guests at "y" time. Even when the time slot and tables are full, we can override and insert people. This is one reason why eateries get behind on their ADR times. As an example, I have seen up to 100 (one hundred) extra people added to sold-out CP and up to 150 (one hundred and fifty) people added to a sold out BoG. Hint: Be nice to your Concierge. It should be noted that IP-Concierge seldom have the Dining Override Code.

Maybe try looking for a table of 6 instead of 5? Sometimes an even number makes a difference.

I checked yesterday morning and they were both available! Ended up going with Sci Fi.
