Need help remembering what kind of socks to buy

I am the type that gets blisters from all the walking we do at WDW. A few years ago there was a thread about what kind of socks to buy. There were several runners that contributed to the post. I took their advice and between the new socks and powder in the shoes every couple hours I did not get any blisters.

Now I need to get new socks for Disney again and can not remember what type. Were they no Cotton?, 100% cotton?, just what was the fabric make-up? I know it has to do with wicking the moisture away. I found them at the Foot Locker outlet and can not find the same brand today. Any help is appreciated by me and my feet.

Definitely stay away from cotton socks. Look for wicking socks or nylon socks. I personally like Nike's anti blister socks.

Yes-- non-cotton socks. You can also get them at a running store, and don't be shy to ask the folks working there for help in picking some out!

I'm a trail runner who spends 4-6hrs in socks on terrain. We absolutely love Injinji socks. They are toe socks like a glove on your foot, they help with blisters because each toe is wrapped and no chaffing. They take some time getting used to but i'm sure they have saved my feet from several blisters!!

Thanks folks. Found some very good socks at the Outlet Mall near us. There were probably 8 different shoes stores there so there was no lack of choice.
