One of our schools just did a pantomime of Robert Loius Stevenson's "Treasure Island" - it was great fun! They did not sing, but used recorded songs as music for a few dance numbers - there was a pirate dance, a dance of the monkeys on the island, the flowers did a dance etc. This pantomime had kids from ages 6 and up doing dances, and the main actors were probably as young as 7 or 8 and up. It was nice to have the straight acting broken up by some dance numbers. If your crew aren't really dancers, you can keep the dance moves simple.
