Need Help...Please

My brother and nephew (4 yr old) will be arriving at Disney on 6/6 and checking out 6/11. His mother-n-law booked and bought everything (brother & sis -n-law have to pay back). So they have 5 nights at Pop, 4 day MYW PH, and quick service dining. The total is about 3500 which I think is insane!!! She also got trip insurance too. My question is: Is there any possible way that I can switch things around for him to get the cost lower at this late date. I do know that they will charge the 50 for changing but that might not be such a bad thing if I can save him some money. He tried telling them I could do the whole thing for them cheaper to begin with but they didn't want to listen. Any help is greatly appreciated!!!!!!

Yes, I would look for some discounts. $3,500 seems really high to me. I am going in July and our room only is $971 (including tax) for 7 nights before discounts.

I don't understand that pricing at all, unless it includes airfare. Is that possible? I did a quick check on the Disney site, as you've probably done, and rack rate is just shy of $2,000 for everything that you listed (for a "preferred room" and without travel insurance). I'm not sure that you can do anything if you didn't book the trip and aren't going, but your brother might be able to call and ask why the rate is what it is, and to ask what else is available. At least he's listed on the reservation, so he could make changes, I think. I hope that it all works out!

Wow, that's really high for a stay at a value!!!! It almost makes me wonder if MIL is charging them for more than what's "theirs" or there really has to be something else in there. PH tickets and a room at POP for 4 days just doesn't cost that much, even with the normal DDP. I'd ask him to get MIL to give him a detailed bill instead of just a dollar figure she wants them to pay.

Agree w/ JB-- if he's on the reservation, he needs to call WDW himself and see exactly what's what.
