I'm planning a surprise lingere shower for a bride. Sshhhh....Guest count will be around 30+. Will be inviting all ladies from out of town (everyone) so no one will feel left out. Too many for a hotel room. I'm thinking of booking a room in the convention space, what is the minimum for food & drink to book such? I don't want to exceed the budget for this. Do any of you have knowledge on this? Please help me or tell me where I can go for this info. Thank you all!

I'll bet you could book a suite in one of the hotels. I'm not sure how many people they would fit, someone else on here might know, but the suites are quite large with lots of entertainment space. They have gorgeous ones at all of the Deluxe resorts (personally, I would pick the largest suite at AKL with a view of the animals!!). It might be cheaper this way because you could bring in your own food & there is a great Publix right down the road!

Costs vary based on the room that you use. I am having a tea party the day before my wedding and wanted whitehall. It wasn't available so we are going with St. James room at the Boardwalk. The f/b min. is $608 for that room. I would call Disney and see what kind of options they can give you. When I was looking my planner mentioned a number of different places including several restaurants on Disney property with available spaces.

To book a private event at Walt Disney World, contact Disney Catered Events at 321-939-7278. They can give you the prices and options at the various resorts. You just need to be staying at a Disney-owned resort.

Another option would be to rent a 1- or2-bedroom Disney Vacation Club unit. Even at rack rate by calling Disney directly to book, these are usually cheaper than suites. You can also rent DVC points from a member—often at a significant savings—and book the room that way. More info on renting points can be found HERE and HERE.
