Help. We want to plan a trip to our home resort BCV in late Oct (food and wine). My brother-in-law is getting married, but has not set the date. The Fall is the season they prefer. My son’s have two days back to back off from school in late we really want to take advantage.

The problem is this. We have to borrow points from next year in order to have enough points for a full week stay. So we are hesitant to book the reservation with the borrowed points as Murphy’s Law, what if he picks that week for the wedding? If he does pick that week we need to put the trip off until Feb or May. We May prefer over Feb) (we have an April use year).

So we are thinking of booking some of the trip now with our current years points. I think that will make sure I have some of the trip reserved and thus make sure we have our room. We have enough to book 4 week day nights are two weekend nights. Which should I book? I think the weekend nights are harder to get?????? Help

Reserve as many of the weeknights as you can. Weekends are the least reserved using points are are more likely to be available later.

Good luck! :)

You can always book some on cash. If you are a DVC member you may get the 25% room discount if available. What I have done in the past is to reserve the extra nights on cash and then cancel them out and book for points later. This way I know I at least have a room. You will need to check with MS on the cancellation policy but I think you can cancel right before your arrival date. When I did this for HH I did not even have to put down a room deposit.

Thank you for your responses. :earsboy:
Both are great ideas. Thanks!!!
