There will be 4 of us, Me, my Husband, my 8 year old boy, and my 2 year old boy. I have no idea on what to do at Nassau. I've heard that the people there can be very pushy. Because my youngest is only 2, that limits our options on what we can do.
I do want to visit a Catholic church while there. We will be there on the first Saturday in May. Does anyone have any suggestions on what we should plan to do that day. Also, is there a Catholic mass on Saturday. If the mass is Saturday night, should we skip it. Is it best not to be out in Nassau at night?

Also, what time does the boat usually arrive and depart. I wouldn't want to miss the boat and end up stranded there.

My Cousins went to Atlantis when they were on their DCL cruise and they said it was awesome to see the aquariums and how huge the place was. If I do another cruise to Nassau I want to check it out. You can see Atlantis from the port when you are docked. :cool1:

I also had a co-worker that was just there and went to Blue lagoon beach and said it was very nice and pretty.

The first time I was there my Aunt and I took a horse drawn Carriage ride through town and learned about some of the history. That was fun,but I am a horse lover and so I just enjoyed the ride!! :D

We also did a little bit of shopping, but not too much. 2nd time I went I did not even get off the ship, but kind of wish DD and I would have checked out Atlantis! :flower:

When we went in October of 2003 we got a cab and went to Ardastra Gardens. The highlight was the marching flamingos....really fun to see! They had a lot of cool animals and birds. We were very glad we went! We didn't book through Disney...pieced it together ourselves and spent about half what it would have cost. It was really neat!

Atlantis!!
I've been to Nassau a few times and find it very disappointing. I haven't done the pool day at Atlantis, but have read from several people about booking a room for the day (at either Atlantis or the adjacent Comfort Inn) in order to have pool privileges. I understand this is done quite regularly and is pretty affordable for a family. Cruise packages only tour Atlantis, but don't allow you use of the pools, which are wonderful. You also can use the room if your little guy needs a nap and if you want to shower and clean up before going back.

Sorry, but I have no idea about your church question.
