Planning my meals is really stressing me out. This I our first trip, and I can't decide when to do what.

The only dinners I know for sure that I want to do are Chef Mickey and Cinderella's castle. I have decided that we will probably eat every breakfast in our room, since we aren't big breakfast eatters, and do all of our lunches and dinners in the parks.

The day that we go to MK, I plan on bringing my DD to BBBoutique in the morning so she can be dressed up all day, but should I do Cinderella's RT for lunch or dinner? I've heard the cast of Cinderella is for dinner and all the princesses for lunch. Also, MK is what my DD is looking forward to most, should we go there the first day or save it???

I think I may want to do the Luao at the PR.

We are on the dining plan. I'm thinking that we will probably be using our quick service for lunch and table service for dinner's.

Any and all suggestions are GREATLY appreciated!!

Princesses are at all meals at the castle now. Eating in the castle will cost you 2 TS credits each...as would the luau. That will leave you short two tables service meals on dining plan credits (unless you're on the deluxe dining.)

If you first day is a full day, then yes, I'd go to Magic Kingdom first.

When are you going? You REALLY need to make that CRT ADR first thing on your 180 day morning.I would actually plan my park days based on when I could get that CRT reservation combined with the BBB appointment, since CRT can be so difficult to get.

As long as you are aware that you have 2 meals planned that are 2 TS credits each, you can figure out in advance which of your other meals that week will be paid OOP. You can check out the menus here or at allears to decide that.

Any particular reason for picking Chef Mickey as your other Character meal? It hasn't gotten sparkling reviews for it's dinners. But maybe you're going primarily for the character interactions with DD?

I know you say you are not breakfast people (neither am I) but we did the breakfast at the castle after BBB with our daughter. She had a 8am BBB and our breakfast was for 930am and it was so worth it.

We usually skip our lunch QS and use them for breakfast or dinners. We mix it up a bit.

Did the luau in March, was good but not worth the 2 credits on the DP. I paid cash for it to save my 2 credits.

We did do California Grill and used our 2 credits (so worth it)

Chef Mickey's doesn't get very good reviews for dinner but their breakfast is wonderful and is served until 11:30, I believe. If you would really like to eat at CM, could you consider a late morning reservation and call it lunch? That's what we did last fall and we had a excellent meal.

I would def do lunch at CRT (their menu is more appeasible) than at dinner, especially for kids. If you do an early BBB, per say at 8:05, your dd will be one of the firsts in the chair. After that you can go into the store behind the castle and use your photopass for the cute photoshoot. Then you can rope drop and do all the rides in fantasyland. I would do the 1st lunch at CRT, which is noon. That way you do not have to wait, you will be able to go in and get pictures with Cindy and then go upstairs to see the rest of the Princesses. After lunch you can see one of the castle shows I believe there is one at 1:30 and then there's the parade at 3. You can accomplish a lot but on your own pace because you will have the first reservations before anyone else and you won't have to wait on anybody.

Don't be scared about Chef Mickey's dinner, their food is good and the experience is what is so worth it :) If you do dinner, do the 1st seating at 5pm. You have no idea how big of an impact 1st seatings are because when the kitchens get backed up or families are sitting through a few seating times, this means you have to wait :( So do the 1st seating :)

You will love the Luau and the Hoop de Doo is great as well.

How long does BBB take when doing the crown package? I was able to book it for 9:30am and dinner at CRT that evening. I wanted it a little earlier so we could be in the park on rides when the park opened.

I haven't done the Luau. I've heard that HDDR is better. I've gone twice to HDDR and it is lots of fun. Both are 2TS credits.

Kona Cafe at the Poly is good.

1900 Park Fare is another one your daughter would enjoy-Cinderella, Prince Charming, Step-Sisters and Step-Mother.

Both SOA Dinner and CRT are 2 TS credits if you are on DP, so plan that it. CM and CRT are not good meals for dinner. We were disappointed with both. However, we enjoyed CM and CRT for breakfast. Last year, we were able to get BBB and CRT (dinner - yuck) 90 minutes apart and it worked perfectly. My dds (9&6) walked from one to the other and really enjoyed the magical treatment. We picked the evening for BBB as I guess it would be hot in that dress and plastic shoes all day at MK. There is also a BBB in Downtown Disney, although it is probably not as cool as having it done in the castle. You could plan to do MK twice. We can't get through everything at MK in one day.

BBB takes about 1/2 hour but if you make a 9:30 appt, you will have to wait if they run behind. Sometimes, some girls have more difficult hair than others, some parents take a million pictures. So I wouldn't waste optimal park touring time by making an appt at 9:30. Either go with the earliest appt before park opening which is 8:05 or 8:35. If you want to do dinner than do the 1st dinner seating which I believe is 4:20.

Last year I did BBB at 8:05 - was finished by 8:30... we did the photoshoot in the store behind the castle and then we did rope drop for fantasyland. We did all the rides and then had breakfast at 10:30. It was really nice getting my daughter all made up and she rode all the rides and got pictures taken with the stepsisters and then we went to eat. Breakfast is very good at CRT :) For my next trip we are doing lunch, we are doing rope drop so we can see Rapunzel and then we are doing Fantasyland. We have 1pm BBB appt and a 2:40 lunch (which is the last lunch seating).
