Need help planning Christmas surprise at the parks

Hi all, I need your help! We have never been to Universal or IOA and have a 2 night trip booked over Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. We will be driving over early morning from Disney and checking into Hard Rock (we will have express pass and park to park tickets). My question is: is there anything special holiday wise or character meal wise for my kids as part of their surprise? They have no idea we are going to Universal and it is part of their Christmas gift. One loves Harry Potter and the other is more of a Minions kinda chick. Any experience or ideas?

Maybe a character breakfast - we did one in US (italian restraunt I think...?) and got to meet Gru and the minions.
