Hi there,
Planning a surprise trip for DH and DS (6). We are AP's and go to Disneyland 3-4 times a year. :lovestruc
But I would to try to see if we could add on 3 days to our trip.
Here is my plan so far:

Dates: Saturday March 23-Saturday March 30

Hotel: Hyatt of Mission Bay in San Diego, any reviews?? Close to Sea World, San Diego Zoo, Legoland ?? Looking at the Waterfront King Suite, anyone stay there before?

Places to visit: SeaWorld, San Diego Zoo, Legoland??? We only have time to do 2 of these 3 places. A little background; DS LOVES animals but we live in Monterey so we are able to go to the Montery Bay Aquarium often so maybe no SeaWorld?

Planning Saturday-Tuesday in San Diego and then Tuesday-Saturday at Disneyland.

Any other advice or tips would be greatly appreciated. :goodvibes

I first wanted to just make sure you're aware that Legoland is located in Carlsbad, CA, which is actually about 30-40 minutes north of Mission Bay/the zoo/Sea World, etc. If you're going to Disneyland, you can stop by Legoland for the day on your way down to San Diego or on your way back to Anaheim.

Sea World is expensive, but I will say that if you have never been and your child loves animals, it's very much different than the MB aquarium. If, however, you can only do two and you really want to do Legoland, then I would do the zoo and Legoland if animals are the main focus, as you'll see many more animals and have closer encounters at the zoo than you will at Sea World.

Thanks so much for your reply. Hmmmmm....maybe we will do SeaWorld and the Zoo. Is the Zoo close to the Hyatt Mission Bay hotel by any chance?

DD loved, loved, loved SW! We go to the Denver aquarium and DD likes it very much, but it was nothing compared to watching the shows at SW - I have never seen her happier..not even at DLR ;)

I am planning a trip for her birthday and one of the options is San Diego. SW is the big draw, probably we'll also go to the Zoo and the Safari park.

What age is your dd? My older girls are 9 and 11 and too old for legoland. I think the best age for Legoland is 4-7

I just saw that your dd is 6. I would leave off Sea World and do the zoo and Legoland. The shows at Sea World are not that great. It is expensive, and it closes pretty early. There would be much more for your dd to do at Legoland and they have an aquarium there as well.

For a 1.5 yo boy and a 5.5 year old girl, which 2 would you choose? (Or all 3?) I have heard mixed reviews of Lego Land, so I am unsure if it is worth it. Will there be enough for the younger one to do? Is the park in good shape?

Also, are those ages too young for SW?
