Hi everyone!

Last year, DH and I went to WDW as our last trip before we have children. Well, after much begging and pleading, I was able to convince that we need just one more trip to see Mickey!! Last time we went for 10 days, and I am not able to work a 10 day trip, but I am able to work a six day trip, because DH wants to check out Universal, since he has never seen or been to it.

We are thinking of staying at the Beach Club or the Yacht Club specifically for SAB, since I have heard so much about it. So, my question is what time do all you WDW experts think would be the best time to go where the crowds are somewhat low and the weather still warm enough to go swimming in SAB?

I was thinking either October or April, but not sure....if do October then I might have to wait until 2006, which is sooo far away. :sad1: We have a tripped to Hawaii planned for October - our friends are getting married there...but they haven't confirmed anything - really wish they would hurry it up before plane tickets get too high.

Thanks for the help!!! :earsgirl:

Although it wouldn't necessarily be swimming weather, I would go the first two weeks of December. All the Christmas decorations will be up and the park won't be crowded in the least. Disney at Christmas is great and if you haven't been there during the holidays, you should definitely go.

However, if you're interested in swimming, you may want to try late September.

I wouldn't recommend April of 2006 because Easter is right in the middle of the month. The last week of March into April would be OK as would the last week of April into May. In fact, I really like May at WDW. It's really warm and the crowds are low. Late September or early October is also nice but the Food and Wine Festival at Epcot and Mickey's Halloween Party seems to start earlier and earlier every year bringing in the crowds.

I would also recommend that you consider renting points from a DVC member at the Beach Club Villas in a studio for your time at WDW. If you wait until May you can stay for 5 nights (Sun-Fri) for only 65 points or $650 at $10 per point.

Robin,

Thank you!!! Great tips!! I will definitely looking into renting some DVC points, which would work out perfect, because I really would like to stay at either the Beach Club or Yacht Club.

Thanks again!!!

We went May 22 - 25. Walked on nearly everything. I would go the week before Memorial Day, worked great for us.

We also went in May and had perfect weather. Spent a lot of time at SAB! Parks weren't very crowded - longest wait 20 mins for Soarin'.
