I am unable to get a room at the Raddisson the night before our member cruise 9/3/05. Does anyone have any suggestions as to where we can stay preferable the same area as the Raddisson which is close to the car rental returns.
Thank you in advance.

Lauretta - many of us had that problem and opted to stay at WDW instead. We are working on getting a meet together for that night. Why not stay at WDW and head out to the port early on Sunday.

Thank you for the responses. We really like to stay near the port the night before and espically since this is only a 4 day cruise we will be able to watch the Magic leave on Saturday. We will be staying at WDW after the cruise for an additional week. I am sure I can find a hotel from Daves web site.
Thank you all again

There will be a four points Sheraton scheduled to open on March 25, 2005. I'm booked in the Hampton but am interested to see their rates. Hotel rooms tend to get scarce around cruise time.

As we are arriving in Orlando around 8 p.m. the night before, we opted to stay near the airport and drive to the port in the morning. We got a good deal through Priceline at the Crowne Plaza Orlando Airport.

Have you been looking on there website or through Expedia? I had tried all those avenues when I needed a room there and nothing came up - it sayed it was full. I called my TA and she got me 2 nights before our cruise and 1 night after.

So maybe you can try a TA?

Dancing Bear....

We also got a room at the Crown Plaza Orlando Airport via priceline and stayed there on Jan 5th, 2005, the night before our Wonder cruise.

The hotel was fine and very convenient. Many food places nearby like Cracker Barrel and other chain restaurants.

It was so convenient to get to the port from this location. The entrance to 528 was only about a block away from the hotel and it only took us about 45 minutes to get to the port from there. We left at 9:15 am and got to the port at 10:00 am.

The rooms were nice, we had rooms overlooking the atrium. The pool area was closed, though, due to hurricane damage and there was repair work going on in different areas of the hotel, but it should all be done by the time you arrive.

mmouse37, thanks for the info.

FYI, the Crown Plaza Orlando Airport says their pool will reopen in early February after repairs from the hurricane damage.
