I need help trying to plan my disney vacation. We are a family of 4, two adults a 13 year old and an 8 year old. But we are going the same time my brother is and his family includes 2 adults and a 16 year old. We want to go sometime in 2009 doesn't really matter when. We are up for either doing it seperate or going in together and getting the Villa. Does any one have any ideals, suggestion.

My hint is to check out the new 4/3 deal out, pretty good deal of January to June. But 4 nights and get 3 free plus tickets. As for the rooms, villas are kinds high priced and we're not people who rent points off others but I would suggest 2 separate rooms. Be easier, 2 baths and privacy but we go and daughter and son in law meet us there and we split one room at WL and divide the cost. Really economical for us, we can stay 10-12 nights and one bath is no problem, we are night showers and they are morning people. We do anything we can to make the cost of a deluxe the cheapest so we can stay longer. Nothing beats the longer you can stay, makes touring relaxing, everything is less hectic. We also do not do the dining plan, we see no savings there. We do not like schedules and time periods, we do alot of picnic lunches at the pool with stuff from our grocery stop and meals are huge so wife and I split just about everything. Same with drinks, stock up before hand or have a grocery delivery bring them, Disney prices are thru the roof, 5 bucks for a can of beer. If you're staying a good length of time, the refillable mugs are the ticket, we use the daylights out of them.

different ages, different families, be prepared to have a plan where people can go their separate ways, and meet for meals. Large groups in disney hotels tend to get very expensive very fast, when an offsite villa would be very cost effective, only thing is that transportation is more complex.

have everyone look though a guide book or two and make lists of must see and would like to see attractions, so no one is going with out a good idea of how much there is to see and do... cause it is a lot. WDW is twice the size of Manhattan with a lot more to see and do. it is a vacation that will fight back with out planning.
