Need help naming DD's new bunny

My brother had a cute little white bunny in college- it was Foo Foo (as in, "Little bunny Foo Foo, hopping through the forest, scooping up the fieldmice and WHACKING them on the head...")

We had a bunny that looked a lot like that when I was a kid - we named it Niblick. I saw it on a box on a pair of golf shoes when we were at the store and we all thought it was perfect - LOL...

Naming an animal is so personal. Everyone has a different naming style. For instance, I always like regal sounding "people" names for animals. (For example, Webster and Gustav are two of my cats' names.)

That bunny looks like an Alastair to me.

But he could also be Augustus. Or Balthazar. Or Niles. Or Rupert. You get the idea. :)

You could always wait until the bunny "does" something cute, and base a name that way.

Or, you could think of a descriptive word about his appearance or personality, and name him that word in another language. For instance, Bruno means "brown one" in German.

Good luck, and congrats on your new addition! :goodvibes

My dd would flip out over that bunny! She has a stuffed bunny that she's had since birth named Nutty, after Little Nutbrown Hare from the story "Guess How Much I Love You." He also answers to Nut and Nunny. :cutie:

Doesn't your DD want to name it?

Yes, but she's having a hard time deciding! That's why I thought I'd ask for some suggestions. She's thinking maybe Cookie. We really don't know his personality yet, he's been hiding all day. I told her maybe wait a couple days and see what he's like. DH and I like Buddy! :)

Those names all sound so fancy! I do like Webster though and maybe Rupert. :)

I'm not a good one to ask because I named our bunny "Bunny." It just seemed to fit.

Not to mention that she responded too well to a round of "BUNNYBUNNYBUNNYBUNNYBUNNY!!!!" My DH would call that to her and she'd jump and wiggle and looked like she was dancing. :goodvibes

Ugh, I miss her!!! :sad1:

My DS has a stuffed bunny named Hop Hop. He's stuffed so he doesn't actually hop... but it's still a good name for a bunny.

Well, I think DD decided to name her bunny Buddy, it just seemed to fit him. It was Cookie for a little while, but she didn't think it fit! Thanks everyone! :)
