We are taking our next trip to Disney in Aug. with my mom and my husbands parents, all in their 70's. What places would you suggest for a nice late lunch that would substitute for their dinner.

We will have breakfast in the rooms (cereal, coffeecakes...) then around 2:00 have our big meal and then a snack in the evenings.

I already know we will do LeCellier one of the days (great lunch menu), and maybe Trails End buffet (relaxing and cozy) but help me with some others please...THANKS

Cinderella's Castle:

I was'nt sure if you were looking for a in a park lunch or not. But, if you are, there's no doubt that would enjoy Cinderella's Castle. They have a great menu and great service. If you don't want a park restaurant maybe you could try 1900 Park Fare. Great Buffet

Well,

The Castle would be cool.

also, for less expensive eats, how abou the Plaza Restaurant. It's cute and portions are huge. They would probably enjoy the 50'stheme at Primetime Cafe in MGM.

herc.

I also vote for the plaza in MK. Also maybe Kona at Poly. Chefs de France. My favorite is Brown Derby. Have you check the menu's at WDWIG.com?

My inlaws (same ages as yours) loved Liberty Tree Tavern. You can do a late lunch there. (That was the only place they liked. )

I have eaten at Whispering Canyon Cafe with quite a range of age groups, and everyone seemed to like it. Last time we went we ate with my parents (mid to late 50's). my mother in law (63) and my kids- we all liked the food and the antics. When DH and I went on our honeymoon in 95, his grandparents (in their late 70's at the time) met us there for lunch (they lived in Kissimmee) and said that it was one of their favorite places to eat in all of WDW. I think they serve lunch later, they have an "all you can eat" skillet which the older folks seemed to like the value of, and I think the antics aren't quite as crazy in the afternoon.

I think the WS restaurants are a nice choice for a late lunch. Which "country" really depends on their tastes. In MK, I would choose the Liberty Tree Tavern for the peaceful atmosphere and theming. Their turkey dinners and pot roast dinners (along with those delicious Sally Lunn rolls) are filling and make you feel like you're eating a "home-cooked" meal. Although I haven't been to Kona Cafe I've read great reviews, and their menu seems to offer varied choices. Maybe a monorail ride to the Poly, lunch, and a stroll of the grounds there would be a nice change of pace for them. I'd sure love to be strolling the grounds there right now lol!:D
