SO this is my dilema:

We really can't afford disneyland tickets for a family of 6 for a few days so we are thinking about doing something else but here is the problem. We have mix ages of children. They are 15,14,10, and 5. So the olders want to do universal but there doesn't look like anything for the younger one. The younger one want to do legoland but is it to old for the older ones? We haven't been to California for about 4 years so I would love some help! I looked at Knotts Berry Farm. ANy input on that one? Please give any ideas that would be awesome so that I can plan quickly!

I would think Knott's would be your best bet. Lots of coasters for the older ones and Camp Snoopy for the youngest. Legoland is interesting, but the teens would be bored with the rides.

I second Knott's. There used to be more things for little ones @ Universal, but times have changed & there's not much there anymore.

I would ordinarily say...LegoLand is far too young for your older kids, but I spent last Friday with a 13 almost 14 year old boy and he said, "LegoLand is the best place on earth". And this is from a kid who I think I saw smile once his visit, constant texting/ipod etc.

So, while it is a younger park, the occassional older kid finds it to be the bomb.

It is ridiculously expensive too!!! I have free kid with paid adult coupons if you decide you want to do LL, I can mail them to your hotel.

I would definately go with Knotts. Should me everyone needs including the ecpense. Love the coasters.

I took a 10yr old to Legoland last year and she was very bored. Just a couple rides she thought were ok. Was not crowded but lines move EXTREMELY slow.

Knotts has something for everyone. There are great ticket prices available if you look around a bit, even on Knotts website.

Sea World is another great option. Lots of great shows for everyone and a few fun rides as well.
