need help. last minute trip - whats my chances here?

Hi All

Decided to come down first week of march!

We are probably going to book AKV or SS - but REALLY hoping to get something on waiting list for 2 nights only during F&G

what are my best chances between:

GFV studio
BW studio
AKV studio conceirge

I think VGF will likely be totally booked (we booked ours at 8 months out for May, but can't add on either the weekend before or after now that we decided to lengthen our stay).

We also are unable to get BWV during those same dates, but AKV has availability in both, though I didn't check concierge level.

probably akv but not conceirge - but you might be able to get a standard or even savannah view

BWV seems to be full. I booked at the 11 month mark and later tried to add a few more nights with no luck.

SS is probably the only resort which may have availability. Good luck and enjoy your vacation.

Very unlikely for any of those. SSR has availability, AKV has some availability for some dates.

For a trip that's only 3-4 weeks away? I'd suggest booking SSR or AKV before those options are no longer available.

Only way you'll get a wait list now is if someone else cancels last-minute AND you happen to be the only one wait listing those dates. Pretty long odds at any resort, IMO.

We decided to take a last minute trip to Disney for a long weekend before Christmas and for weeks nothing was available then about 3 weeks before we were looking to go a garden/pool view studio opened up at BWI for the first 4 days of our trip and a value studio at AKV for our last night. So fingers crossed u have the same luck!!

Did you try OKW? I seem to get that resort a lot as a runner up when the primary resort I want is booked

Anything CAN happen but there are far more stories of failure than success when attempting to book high-demand DVC resorts on less than 30 days notice. Adjust expectations accordingly.

Watch the rent/trade board. There might be a late change that they need to rent out so they don't lose their points.

In the same boat.... had to cancel our Boardwalk view reservation for the 1st week in March and now a change in circumstances and trip is back on with more people added!

Keep trying...I was able to grab a 2 bdrm. Beach Club for the last few nights of our trip but have not been able to get additional nights. I feel like I'm playing a slot machine checking every day!
