OK I admit I'm not a big fan of Halloween but friends of ours are having a party ( to honor their mom who just died - it was her fav. holiday). You cannot come unless you are dressed. I want something kind of easy (but not lame). I was looking for costumes for either:

couples (me & DH)
group of 4 (me, DH and another couple)
or individual.

Please help me find something!!! Thanks!

A quick costume idea is to come as tourists. Wear your bermuda shorts, comfortable shoes (with knee high socks, of course), an Hawaiian print shirt (preferably that clashes with the shorts), zinc oxide cream on your nose (or white Halloween makeup) a tacky tourist shop hat and a camera or 2 (or more).

This will work with any size group although the bigger the group, the better. If you have more than 3, one could be the "tour guide" and dress appropriately carrying some sort of flag or sign to help keep the group together. Just be sure you and the others in your group travel in a pack heedless of others not part of your group. When you talk to the "natives" be sure to speak very loud and slow - because if they don't speak English, that's the best way to make sure they understand you. :)

DH and I are going as Obi Wan and Amidala - I'm almost 7 months pregnant so I found a dress pattern that is adaptable for multiple years. This year I'll clearly be expecting Luke, and of course his unknown twin Leia...

last year my family went as people of the 80's. My youngest was Dee Snyder from Twisted Sister. It was so cute I wish I had a scanner. She had black pants with grafitti all over them, a concert style t-shirt, long blong wig, tons of makeup aka Dee, twisted sister arm band, etc. My oldest went as an 80's biker chick complete with my old leather jacket. Hubby went as an aging rocker and I went as past self - I found my old high school id and old glasses (which I had to take the glass out of). I had ripped jeans, an old 80's style sweater, and jean jacket covered with concert patches. I really puffed out my hair. Funny thing is I though I looked great!!!

A few years ago I was at WDW for MNNSHP and a whole family had dressed alike and it didn't' take too much $$ or time.

They had Mickey ears, white T shirts with black block letters they had ironed on with their names, black shorts and sneakers. They were the members of the Mickey Mouse Club.

It sure was cute to see all of them dressed alike. From a little one in the stoller to Grandpa pushing him.
