DH and I are at the very beginning of planning a DLP trip for late 2017. I am unfamiliar with European breaks/customs and unsure of when to visit to avoid the biggest crowds.

1) When is the best time to visit (preferably in the latter half of the year)?
2) Tips on when to start checking for airfare?

Any advice for a newbie is appreciated. TIA!

It's a bit difficult to predict crowds for Disneyland Paris as all European countries have different holidays. My best guess would be to go in September as it's the month when school is starting again and there's still a good chance of some nice weather. That said, weekends will always be busy, so weekdays would be your preferred days to go.

Re: Airfare - check for best pricing on http://matrix.itasoftware.com

They don't sell tickets however if you take the fare code and call the airline directly or go to a brick-and-mortar travel agent they can book the ticket for you.

Wonderful! Thanks for the feedback!

This is also useful. If you go to dlpguide.com (great website all round for planning your DLP trip!) and look at the PAST monthly opening hours for each month, you'll also notice that there's a colour code relating to ticket/package prices which are relative to peak times.

Ultimately though, mid week is better than weekends. And if you wanted to catch the 25th anniversary celebrations AND Christmas, November is lovely and quiet!

I would have say avoid July and August, in general tuesdays and thursdays are the best days to visit the parks.

If you have a look on the french holidays : http://www.education.gouv.fr/cid879...les-annees-2015-2016-2016-2017-2017-2018.html for 2107, you shall also avoid february and may !

And finally i'll add that 2017 is the 25th anniversary of the park, it will start in April, so weekdays in June or September should be great !
