My Dad will be visiting Disney World on Feb 2 & staying at Coronado Springs. He was just recently diagnosed with Congenital Heart Failure & needs to sleep with Oxygen. Does anyone know if he can rent an Oxygen Concentrator for his room at night while he's down there? Also what will he need to do this (prescription from his doctor, etc.). I'm sure someone must rent them down there & can deliver it to his room. I just need some information so I can set this up for him to make his visit to the world more enjoyable. Thanks!

Have you checked out the disABILITIES FAQs thread pinned near the top of this forum? In post #30, SueM provides quite a bit of information about using oxygen on a trip to WDW. If you dad only needs it to sleep, most of that won't pertain, but she also includes information about getting oxygen delivered to your resort.

Enjoy your vacation!

lanejudy pointed you toward the largest collection of information.

The most helpful thing is to work with his currents oxygen provider. Many of the providers are part of a national chain or have an arrangement/relationship with oxygen providers in other places. His provider should be able to help him get everything set up, including necessary MD prescriptions and billing.

I know when we went the first time with the whole family, my youngest child was on oxygen. I just called his oxygen company and they were able to work through a provider in the area, and that provider brought the set up to our hotel and brought it directly to our room. Good luck :)
