Need help getting my husband to chill...

I have officially become a Disney obsessed person. I am planning a trip to DW with my 8 year old son in Feb. This will be our third trip, but already searching for best character dining, researching everything at Fort Wilderness to do, already called DW about info about the Pirate and Pals cruise, reading through the Disboards, and have already gotten a TA who is already finding out info about Jedi Training, and ready to share Disney deals for Feb. as soon as they come out! You are right planning is half the fun and the key to fun !

I spend every free second I have planning my trip in January. I can't contain my excitement! :dance3:

:rotfl2: Every post on this thread is hilarious!! I have to admit, I'm a lot like him--our next trip is MORE THAN A YEAR AWAY, yet I am constantly thinking about where we'll stay, what we'll do, what to pack, etc. But if I have to have an addiction, I'm glad Disney is it.

LOL!! Why is it that every compulsive planner is married to a person whose attitude is "What do you mean 'plan'? It's a vacation!"

For me, the thing is that most of our trips, we go in a big family gathering of anywhere between 15-20 people. And I've had to be very firm with people that "If you want to eat here or there, want to get into this or that with the WHOLE group... we need to take advantage of advance planning". When we do trips in March, they reel every time I start talking dining reservations in September. And my wife who actually gets it more than they do, still thinks that's crazy talk and doesn't even feel like the vacation "seems real" until we're only a few weeks out.

Thing is I'm still not "Commando". I like to book things so we have markers. We don't all hang out together all the time. I book flights, hotels, dinners, and NOW a couple of attractions that we know everyone will want to do together. And I do it around EEMH to maximize late nights at the parks. Then I give everyone the itinerary and say "Go do your thing, do what you want, we meet for dinner here at this time". This has worked out best for us and with all the advance planning, we know everything is taken care of and can actually relax while we are there.

I am the one like that in our marraige. My husband knows just to sit back and enjoy the ride. I will do all the worry and stressing enough for both of us. :thumbsup2 In our family we have two allergic to gluten, one allergic to peanuts and another allergic to bees. Then myself I have severe r.a. and some other health issues. So put us all together and there is some major planning that needs to be done. Well at lease in my head. :rotfl2:
