Need help from you PO experts!

For those of you that are experts of Port Orleans, which do you like better, Riverside or FQ and why? If Riverside, AB or MM? I am really leaning toward FQ b/c of the recent rehab and smaller size. What do you think?

While we have stayed at both, we prefer Riverside. While my daughter likes the mansions better with their manicured lawns, etc. I prefer the bayou rooms, I like their less structured landscaping, etc. I also prefer to use the quiet pools more than the bigger themed ones. If you like the themed pools, the one at French Quarter is awesome. Any way you choose, you can't lose. Have fun and enjoy!

I have stayed at both. I was at POR for a week and POFQ for three nights.

For a longer stay (I'd say 5 nights or more) I would choose POR. I really enjoyed wandering around the grounds there, and I like the food court there better. I would give a slight edge to the themeing at POR as well. I also like the fact that there are quiet pools there as well.

And while I do not have children I think younger kids would like the dragon slide at POFQ, while older kids would prefer Old Man Island at POR.


But for a shorter stay there is just no beating the convenience of POFQ. The fact that everything is so close together really helps maximize the little time you have there. The rennovations are beautiful.

It's a tough decision to make, but I really don't think there is a wrong answer. I really enjoyed each of the resorts for different reasons, and would return to either one of them in a heartbeat!
