Need help from some WDW experts about Christmas Parade taping?

I know that the Christmas day parade is being taped on Dec. 1, 2nd and 3rd. What I need to know is, should we avoid MK on the days they tape or should we go?
I figure once we get past Main Street the rest of MK should be fine crowd wise. We are going to be ther from 12/1 to 12/3 and on the 3rd we are off on our first Disney cruise then return on the 7th attending MVMCP that night and are staying until 12/12.

I was there for taping last year on Friday morning and then went to MK on Sat afternoon. The park wasn't all that bad on either day, once you got past the Castle area. Main St. was a zoo!! I try to avoid MK on Sat anyway...but had to be there last year. I got there about 4:30ish on taping day, and while it was crowded in the Main St. area, once I got into TomorrowLand it was fine.
