Need help from Independents

My God daughter is voting for the first time this year-turns
18, September 6th. Her parents are ultra conservative: NRA,
Promisekeepers etc. I, on the other hand, can present the
liberal side to her. We've all decided to lay off and try to help
her do her own research - we'll break our arms patting ourselves
on the back, LOL!

Anyway, I need some good bi-partisan sources of information
for her. If they exist. Anyone?
