We are going to wdw 12/8-12/13 and I need help planning. there will be me, my husband, 3 sons-8,6,3 and one daughter 20mos. Will it be warm enough to do water park? What are best restaraunts with kids anywhere in wdw - we are considering O'Hana's,50's Prime Time,Crystal Palace, and San Angel. What are other good restaraunts in Epcot WS - we are considering Japan but feel like this is a cop out since these types of places are everywhere! But it seems like kids would like it. We ate at Chef Mickey's 2 yrs ago and loved it but thought about doing a different Mickey meal any suggestions? How is Mickey's Very Merry CHristmas Party? We are staying at Shades of Green - how close to Poly? We thought we could walk to take Monorail and avoid buses to MK and Epcot. Planning is definately part of the fun!! Oh, is Cinderall's to "girly" for the boys?
And what about Disney Quest ? THANKS!!

Welcome! I'll try to answer some of your questions.

1. The first couple of weeks of December is a GREAT time to visit. The crowds are low so even with the shortened hours you can ride a lot.

2. The weather can be iffy this time of year. Two years ago we were able to wear shorts and the kids swam but we did have cool evenings and our last day was in the 60's. Plan for both.

3. My kids (DD 7 and DS 6) like Pizza Planet at MGM (they can share a pizza), The Land food court at Epcot (lots of choices), Cosmic Raye's in Tommorowland MK, and Crystal Palace.

4. Love Crystal palace. Food is great and it is so beautiful. A late PS after an EE morning is great and a nice way to gear up for more touring. Cinderella's is a bit girly but a great way to meet the face characters. The Castle is beautiful and the food is pretty good also.

5. Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party was a lot of fun! I would do it again. Really puts you into the Christmas spirit. Crowds aren't too bad and you get a Family picture taken and hot chocolate and cookies. Just watch the "snow" on Main Street, it always ended up my nose - kids thought this was too funny! ;)
