Need help for my brother

My brother lives outside of the US and isn't a big Disney person. He's coming over for my wedding and I'm trying to help him plan for the trip. What would be the easiest thing to do for what I need? We need to add his hotel room, have the address be my parents location so his Magic Band can be shipped. I need to also make dining reservations for him, which will probably overlap the dining times that I have and my parents have.

So I was thinking of creating a MDE account for him. He gave me his email address to do this, but I can't remember if they'll be emailing him to activate it or what? I guess I can still do it that way, but he's about 7 hours ahead so the process will just be a little slower.

Also, when the room was booked originally it was just him. But now he's bringing a friend to the wedding so how do I add his friend to his room? Can I do it online or will I need to call?

It's unlikely he'll be back to Disney so the account I create doesn't have to be anything he needs to access I can do it all. But I also know you can have people under your own account that you control, but I've never done this and don't really understand it. Would it be easier or more complicated to do it that way with all this stuff I need to do that will overlap with my plans?

My sister created an email account just for Disney trips. This way I handle all of her travel without access to her personal account.

What do they email exactly when an account is created? I don't think my brother will mind having the account his real email, I just need to give him a heads up if he is required to do something. I don't think he'd give me access to his email account.

I honestly can't remember right now but mostly she just didn't want any Disney marketing coming to her email.

Just create a new email account under his name so that you have access to it. You can give him the sign on info in case he wants to see the emails but then he doesn’t have to deal with it if he doesn’t want to.

You don't need to create a MDE account for him. Simply link it to your MDE. When it asks you to link it to guests in your profile, simply add him and his friend as guests you'll manage in your account. You'll then manage everything without having to make separate MDE accounts.

You will need to call to add his friend to his room.

So if I link him to my account and then go to book him dining at the same time I have reservations will there be an issue?

I would suggest just trying to modify your ADRs first, before you try to book an additional one. I have had quite a bit of success that way.

There shouldn't be. You can choose him as the lead guest when making the reservation. If there is, you can always call it in. As PP noted, try modifying the reservation before booking a table for 1 or 2. Other alternative is creating a MDE account with a brand new e-mail that only you have access to and linking through friends and family. That way you can do it all yourself as well. I did this when I traveled with my sister a few years ago.
