Need help for DDP calculations

I'm so confused and I'm hoping someone here can help me.... We have never used the DDP but are wanting to try it for our next trip! When I go to the Disney site and book a trip including the DDP(we will be getting the package for 1QS, 1TS, and 1 snack) it gives me price for $2834. We'll have 4 adults and 3 kids meals per night. When I looked up the prices on here and did my calculations I got $2171.54?? What am I missing? I know we have may gratuities separate when we are there... I don't get why there is such a price difference? Thanks for any help

When I do the calculations myself its based on prices $61.82 for each adult per night and $20.98 for each child per night. We are staying 7 nights and with our kids ages for the DDP it's considered 4 adults and 3 Children. Which came to $2171.54. I was assuming the tax was already in the price and I only had to add in the gratuity.

Gratuities are not paid at booking. They will be paid at the restaurants.

The prices of the dining plans were recently raised. The regular plan cost is now $63.70 per night per adult (age 10 and older), and $22.85 per child (age 3-9). Any other overage you are seeing has to do with some other component of your package. What about the tickets? Is the website automatically including ticket add-ons like park hopper or Water Park and More? Trip insurance?

I have no idea why you are getting the price difference. I did the same thing when we were booking to see if it was cost effective for our family, and the price on Disney's website was exactly the same as when I calculated it myself. Are you maybe including something else on accident when you look at the cost with the dining plan (park hoppers, water parks, etc)?

For your family size, I get $2,263.45 (tax included) for 7 nights of regular dining plan. That is based on $63.70 per adult and $22.85 per child.

How old are your kids? 10 and up are charged the adult price.
