Last summer, my family took a cruise and we all LOVED it. There were I think 16 people with us between the ages of 2 and 83 and there was something for everyone.

So we are looking into another cruise this summer (sometime in June). My grandparents are both in wheelchairs and it is too difficult to have them fly anywhere, so we would need something that leaves within driving distance from Pittsburgh. Last time we cruised on Royal Carribean and left out of Newark to Bermuda. Anything out of Newark, New York, Baltimore, Philadelphia, somewhere in that area would be great. We would be willing to drive 7-8 hours. We are thinking a 5-7 day one. My aunt is looking into one that leaves in the beginning of June, but my family probably wouldn't be able to go because my parents aren't willing to take me and my brother out of school (we've missed several days due to a vacation and I'm missing a couple days coming up due to a band trip).

Any ideas would be great! TIA.

They are a great BB for cruises - just like we are for anything Disney!

Personally, I think it's rude for the extended family to consider a family cruise when there are still kids in school!

Carnival has some 5 day New England/Canada cruises in June that leave out of New York City that are reasonably priced. Hope you find a cruise that your entire family can enjoy.

Well, we usually leave about a week after school gets out. My aunt has 3 kids that are still in school, too, but she is taking them out for the last couple days. I would only be missing the last 2 days of school, but my mom doesn't realize that they are a waste. All we do the last day is skip our own classes and go to friend's classes. But I don't really think its rude being that my cousins are in the same position as I am, they just haven't missed as much school as I will.

Being that it takes longer to get to certain islands from ports in NY, MD & NJ, it might be tough to go somewhere other than Bermuda again, unless you want to go North.
We did a cruise out of NY and it took 3 days to get to San Juan, then we had 3 days in ports-San Juan, St Thomas and Tortola. Then another 2 1/2 days back to NY. So, if you are willing to do more like an 8 days or more cruise, you will have many more options for where to cruise to.
Best of luck!
