My DD10 hurt her foot and has it in a boot and cannot put any weight on it. She is learning to manage with crutches, but I really doubt she will be comfortable in the parks. This is temporary, but she won't be better in time for our trip.

I tried Orlando Stoller Rentals - they do have a Liberty Pushchair available. I also called our resort, they will loan a wheelchair to us. Other than that, I don't know what else to do. Somehow we also need to carry her crutches. I am worried the wheelchair will be adult sized, and not comfortable for her. And, I really feel guilty about taking up a wheelchair - in general I feel guilty, I suppose, for her taking a wheelchair or pushchair at all because her foot is a temporary problem...and other kids really need the chairs all the time......I know that sounds weird. And I also feel badly for her, because her foot does hurt, and this will be awkward for her. This will most likely be our only family Disney trip. I am envisioning her trying to get in line to see the fairies and being trampled in the crowds......(we are going Easter) ...her boot getting soaked in the rain......and I have no idea how we will get her on & off the buses.

Has anyone used the Liberty Pushchair? Is it comfortable and easy to use? If anyone has used Orlando Stroller Rentals, are the strollers clean and in good shape?

If anyone can give me a recommendation or suggestion, (pushchair, wheelchair, or anything else) I'd be very grateful.

Sorry for the rambling post - thanks for understanding.

Thanks very much!

Randy's and Walkers have wheelchairs for rent and you can for a one time small fee get a crutch holder attached. If she is on crutches or the wheelchair then she will not need the GAC. She can use the wheelchair in most lines, again use the above link for more info.

I have not used the Liberty stroller, but I'm sure Shannon would send you a pic of one of her kids sitting in it so you could get a feel for size (this I know from experience using one of her other strollers.) Although it would be comfortable to sit in I think, she might have difficulty getting in/out and I wonder if it would bother her to be in a "stroller"? If not, it could definitely be a viable option, although you would want to stop at guest services at the first park you went to and get a stroller as wheelchair GAC. Alternatively, you could possibly rent a pediatric wheelchair from a medical supply company. I agree that an adult sized wheelchair is probably not going to be comfortable at all. She won't be able to rest her foot in that heavy cast or sit back; the seat will be both too wide and too long for her, so I would not recommend that option.

Thanks very much.

We did book a Liberty stroller one through Orlando Stroller.

I would prefer a child's wheelchair -- but couldn't find a company. All links here only show adult wheelchairs. I did a google search - but again only found adult wheelchairs. If you kowof a company - please let me know.

I don't think she'll be happy with the Liberty stroller, but I think it will be more comfortable than the adult wheelchair - I really wish I could find a child sized wheel chair.

Thanks for the tip of GAC using stoller as wheelchair. We didn't plan on getting a GAC card for her, but she'll need to be in the stroller - even in line.

When yopu got your stroller - was everything clean and in good shape? I enjoyed speaking with Shannon.

I really appreciate the links! I wasn't able to find a pediatric chair - now I have 2 places to look.

Try your local Lions club or other service organizations. Many have places that you can borrow equipment like wheelchairs and stuff and give them back when you're done. Then you would have it for the airport as well.

Also you can buy waterproof cast protectors to keep her foot dry in a rain storm.

Have fun!
