I am going to be in WDW with my three girls and a very close friend of mine. We are going to be there right after both of our birthdays, but even more specail is we are going to be there for a very special day she is celebrating. A day which I am thrilled that I am going to be sharing with her. I want to take her somewhere very special. Both of us has done Disney a million times but I have kids so have never really done the ultra fancy places. I don't think she has either. I am planning on a big night. SO where should we go? Suggestions, please. Money is no object on this one! She is treating my girls and I to a two bedroom villa, I can do an extra special night.

Any and all help is appreciated! Thanks in advance!

When will you be going?

Will your girls being going out with you also on this special night?

I have several suggested scenarios!

nope the three girls are not going to be going to this dinner. Just the two of us, doing something nice and grown up for a change :) Any help is appreciated!

Ooohhhh, you should listen to Mister Disney!! Have you seen his Dining Review at the Yachtsman Steakhouse?!?!? :worship:

Let's just say, you'd think you died and gone to heaven!

OK.....so an obvious suggestion would be V&A.....dinner....wine pairing...tip... approx. $500

now....for something stupendous.....

Park at the Boardwalk (valet of course) at 6pm

Walk to Epcot through the International Gate...

Once you enter the International Gateway....turn left...proceed through England etc.....

Walk into Future World.....

Then....how about a cheap counter service meal at Epcot.....maybe just burgers and fries at Electric Umbrella?

So, you think...WHAT?!?!?!?

So you go and have the burgers and fries at say.....uhm...7pm.....

then you "stroll" around the World Showcase going clockwise..through Mexico etc....until you reach the Pagoda in Japan....where you "stumble" upon a private dessert party set up for you and your friend.....you enjoy more desserts than you can imagine....ALL the while having a beautifully unobstructed view of Illuminations......

Once Illuminations is finished...you remain sitting at your table enjoying coffee and the final touches of dessert, while Epcot begins to clear out....

Finally you leave .....walking back to the International Gateway....and walk back to the Boardwalk where you pick up your car.

Cost....for Electric Umbrella....and the Private Dessert Party - approx. $600

So what do you think?

psst.....Kevin and I had a "surprise" private dessert party at Epcot this past fall for his 49 birthday....

OMG that is incredible! I would actually consider that. I was looking for about $350 or so...but wouldn't that be totally incredible? WOW!!! Do you know where and who to talk too? We wouldn't have to park at the Boardwalk we have a two bedroom villa there!!!!

Mister D,

Are you or K-Man party planners in "real life??" What great ideas you have!

Daneen -

I think we both missed our calling in life.....

NO, we are not party planners in real life, although we do host large events up here in Connecticut for non-profits.

Our "real" jobs are.....I am a Contract Sales Manager for a small family own Aerospace and Defense firm and Kevin is the head of Nuclear Predparedness for the State of Mass. with regards to Seabrook Nuclear Power Plant.

Bob a.k.a. Mister Disney

Hey Mister Disney!

Thank you! If you have any other ideas let me know! Please keep them coming!

WOW!!! Unfortunately, we won't be going back for a while, but when we do, I will have to explore this option for me and DH!! :lovestruc

I think I am going to have to agree with you. Although, I suppose it might be more fun when it is something you WANT to do rather than a job.

Keep the reviews and great ideas coming, I truly enjoy reading them.

Hey Glo

Howdy - long time no see

How about Narcoossee's or Citricos

Though my personal vote would be for V&A's

Hey Marla! How you doing?

I am leaning towards maybe even a private function at Epcot Mr. Disney gave me the idea!

I do like the Cali Grille fireworks too. I have to sort through quite some stuff!
