Need help for a friend driving to Clearwater

Hey A coworker has never driven to FL. I told him our way to get to WDW, but couldnt help him much beyond that. He is leaving Sat so any helsp would be great!

Mapquest takes him i-75 from Jacksonville area. Would this be better than going I-4? He is looking for fastest route. Mapquest and GPS are helps, but locals who drive it, they know what is best. TIA

The easiest drive is to take I-10 west from Jacksonville to I-75. Then I-75 south to Tampa.

It could be the fastest, depending on traffic through Orlando on I-4.
