Need Help: "Flat Gage" For School

My DGS, Gage, is in elementary school. His class is making a "Flat Stanley" type project where the kids send 'themselves' out, having people take pictures of themselves with the flat subject, and forwarding it on to others. The picture taken with the flat subject is to be sent to the elementary school class. The children see how many pictures they can receive and how far their flat subject can be shipped around the world.

Little Flat Gage needs some addresses to send himself to. If any of the DIS family would like to help Little Flat Gage travel around the world by participating, please email me your mailing address to: leavealone4@excite.com and put "Gage" in the subject line.

I would love to surprise Little Flat Gage and see how far he can travel this year. TIA.

What a wonderful project!

Over the summer, we were unable to go to a family reunion so we sent a Flat Mater (from CARS) with my ILs. DS was so excited to see the pictures we got back.

MaryAnne has a great suggestion that I wish I had thought of. Please don't hesitate to email me the digital versions of the photos you take with Flat Gage around your community. I can take that and have a printed photo made for Gage's class. Doing it this way will cut down on expense and get the pictures to Gage quickly. Thanks again, MaryAnne!

There seems to be a hold up in the 'Flat Gage' trip route. He was sent out the first week in January and little Gage hasn't received any postcards or pictures from 'Flat Gage's' trip as of yet. So, if someone has 'Flat Gage', please forward him on....even if you haven't had a chance to take a photo with him. Other people on the list are waiting and, of course, a very excited little boy is eagerly waiting for postcards from his travels! Thank you all very much!

DD and the teacher are finally getting back to me about the "Flat Gage" that went out!!

The first person that 'Flat Gage' got sent out to was Rebecca G., in Bradenton, Florida. Unfortunately, I did not keep the PMs of who was who when I passed the names and addresses on to DD.

So, Rebecca please let me know what the situation is. Since 'Flat Gage' is lifesize, they only make one to send out. School will be out for little Gage on June 5th.

It certainly appears he did. I really appreciate everyone being so patient!!

I have suggested to DD that we make some little 'Flat Gages' and send them to the other addresses everyone provided and it can be a project outside of school. I hope she will get back to me about that idea in the next couple of days as Gage seems to have a bad cold right now.

I can always do it as a project between me and him the next time he comes over and spends the night....I just can't see him turning down the opportunity to send little 'Flat Gages' all over the country.

Yes, and between me, DD, and the teacher, we seemed to have a communication problem, too. I kept asking DD about it but I didn't get answers and I don't know if DD didn't follow up or if the teacher was very busy and didn't get back to her.

With so many of you willing to help, I am really pushing now to get this going....which I was hesitant to push to hard before.
