Need Help - Fireworks Cruise and Safari Dinner

I was reading one of the threads and read about the fireworks cruise and safari dinner

Re the safari dinner at AKL, the post talked about a guided safari tour that ended with an African Meal at Tusker house with character appearances from Timmon and Turk. I tried calling 407 WDW DINE and 407 WDW TOUR and they said that this was exclusive to AKL concierge level guests. Does anyone know if this is so. We are DVC members so we will be staying at BWV, but my sons would love to go on this safari. Can anyone help with ideas?

Re the fireworks cruise, the post talked about being at the Contemporary Marina at 5:45 pm to receive Captain Hook pins. Then the boats arrived and off came Capt Hook and Mr. Smee. Is this the regular cruise that you can book at WDW TOUR or is it something else? I called them and they had no clue about the thing with Capt Hook and Mr. Smee.

The events that you are describing are the Grand Gathering events which are available to groups of 8 or more staying at a WDW resort. Check out this link:

Thanks for the very swift reply. So if we are a family of 4, we cannot do these?

That is my understanding - you must be a registered Magical Gathering group which means that you are a group of 8 or more staying at a WDW resort.

If you find another 4 people realize that you also pay per person to participate in this. It is not just "included" in the Magical Gathering.
