Hi Everyone!

I'm hoping someone out there can help me. I've heard that the water in the World isn't exactly the best tasting water to drink. I've been looking everywhere for a Brita Fill & Go Sports bottle with replaceable filters. I can find lots of places that sell the filters, but no-where that sells the bottles. Does anyone know of a store to buy the bottle from? (yes, I've looked online at Brita.com - no luck) Or does anyone know if the filter can be used with a different water bottle? We're leaving in 3 weeks, and I really don't want to have to pay big $$ to drink bottled water everyday.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Sammy

Not sure...but I seem to remember reading a thread about getting them at Wal-Mart. It was probably an american thread so I don't know if the canadian one have them.
I would think that if the stores you looked at had the filters they must be selling the bottles...maybe they were waiting for orders to come in!
If you find some please tell me where you got them as I was planning on buying some too!

We picked up our Brita bottles at Canadian Tire recently. They also have the filters. I have heard of some people that got them at Zehrs/Loblaws and other grocery stores. Rubbermade (sp?) also makes a refillable water bottle with filters. We saw the filters at CT but couldn't find the bottle.

I picked ours up last fall, at Canadian Tire in Orillia. Paid about $10 on sale. They were discontinuing them at that time. I saw a lot of them at the Walmart on hwy. 192 in Kissimmee. They were about $6 U.S. I don't know where you will be staying in Fla, but probably other U.S. Walmarts would have them as well.

Thanks for the responses. I also thought that since the stores were carrying the filters they must just be waiting for the water bottles to come in - turns out that is not the case. From what I've heard, Brita has stopped making the bottles. I will definitely check around for the Rubbermaid bottle and filter. Thanks for the tip.

(19 sleeps to go!!) Yea!!!!

We also got our Brita bottles at the Orillia Canadian Tire just this last summer. We went to the local store in Barrie and they were able to call up the inventory for all the stores within about an hour of us to see if any other store had and in stock. It made it a lot easier than driving all around the place. I would also suggest going to the "Running Room". I don't know if you have a store locally, but the last time I was in there, I noticed that they carry their own brand of filter bottles. The good thing with the Running Room is that they also sell the fanny packs that fit the bottle exactly. Hope that helps.

mdennylusk - Thanks for the tip on the Running Room - I'll try them this weekend.

I was able to call up the store inventory counts for Canuck Tire on their website - so I was saved from driving all over needlessly. Thank goodness.

My SO finally just got so tired of me worrying about the filtered bottles that he promised to buy me as many bottles of water as I needed each day that we're at the World. My hero LOL!!

I went through that last spring in Edmonton, couldn't locate them anywhere, but could find the filters. I finally went to Home Outfitters and they had tons of them. Try them in Calgary...good luck and enjoy your trip. We were glad to have the bottles along, I filled them mostly with ice in the morning at the hotel, and we refilled during the day.

Your neighbor to the north...
