Need help finding sunscreen in PA for daughter on meds.

Hi, my daughter has juvenile rheumatoid arthritis and is on a medication that makes her skin extremely sensitive to sun. We are rather new to all of this as she was only diagnosed a year ago. I thought I had everything planned for our trip in two weeks, but realized that we are about out of the sunscreen that we use on her face. It is the very thick kind with zinc oxide - the kind you sometimes see lifeguards wearing on their noses that makes them white. Does anyone know where you can find sunscreen at this time of the year in Pennsylvania? I have tried the usual WalMart, KMart, and quite a few drug stores but everyone only has about four different bottles of any type of sunscreen. I guess I could always wait until we get there but I like to be prepared beforehand. Thanks for any suggestions!

You could try the websites for those drug stores. I had looked up some websites before (they might be in the thread that teri provided a link to) and found you could order product from them. Another possibility would be the website for Coppertone or Sea and Ski (2 big sunscrenn/suntan lotion companies).

I am sure you can get it in FL. I believe we still have all our sunscreens out here in GA. If you really need it before you get there- if you let me know what brand and strength and all, I can look for you here and mail it to you.

Another thing you could try is a sporting goods store. Skiers don't have a lot of skin uncovered, but a lot of them use sunscreen since the reflected sun off the snow can cause sunburns.

Hawaiin tropic makes 70 spf... they sell it at goodlings/goodings whatever its called! u can also get it on their web site..at least u used to be able to.... my daughter has no pigment in her skin so burns big time even w/45 spf... 70 works perfectly NO BURN AT ALL!!!
