I could really use some help. I throwing a baby shower and the theme is Finding Nemo. I found some great stuff on disneybaby.com and on Pinterest for invitations, cupcakes, etc.

I'm looking for some really great ideas for maybe some snacks, games, etc.
The center pieces are going to be, well, Nemos. And I wanted to have a "fish pond" instead of a wishing well but I'm not quite sure how to go about it.

Anyone have some unique ideas or every host a Finding Nemo baby shower? Any ideas would be very helpful.

I saw some really cute Squirt cupcakes. Google "finding nemo cupcakes" and you should see a picture of them. They are made using gummy candies and look pretty easy to do. I think those and a two tier Nemo cake would be nice. There are lots of examples of Nemo cakes on pinterest and the internet. If you are doing punch, I would do blue. Allrecipes has a blue punch that I have had before at baby showers.

I would use Nemo colors like blue, orange and white as accent colors and just have the cake and cupcakes with actual Nemo decorations on them because I wouldn't want it to look too much like a child's birthday party if it were me. I would maybe do a small candy display in apothecary jars on the buffet table in the Nemo colors. I think they make orange swedish fish which would be a nod to the Nemo theme.

Have fun planning!

You could even do the goldfish, I've done the icing drizzle on goldfish snacks to look like Nemo. Part city has these large round balloons that look like bubbles :-) and you can do blue punch (Hawaiian punch makes one) and buy a Nemo and other characters to swim in it. If i werent typing on my phone I could give you a whole list of ideas. But absolutely get aqua, tangerine and white solid color decor to add to the theme.

It just so happens I'm planning a finding nemo baby shower. This is what I going to do if you like any of these ideas go for them. I hope it works out well for you too. I bought the big rolls of dark blue table covers to cover all the tables and matching table skirting. The center pieces are fish bowls with seashells covering the bottom and I'm going to fill them with water and put a couple feeder fish (they are really cheap at wal-mart all under a $1.00) in each one, then to give it more color I'm going to put two balloons one blue and one green, fill them with helium and attach them to the bowl. I'm making a green and blue balloon arch for the doorway. Green and blue streamers twisted together and hung from the ceiling in a wave-like pattern. For food I'm doing gold fish crackers, a watermelon fruit bowl cut in the shape of a boat, and sandwiches cut with a fish cookie cutter. Cut-out cookies in fish, sharks, starfish, seahorses, and turtles are easy to make or find. The punch is going to be blue and at walmart you can find a turtle that looks like squirt over in the pool toy section, it even swims, I'm putting him in the punch bowl. There are really cute squirt cupcakes on familyfun.com. For games buy plastic fish that look like nemo put them in a plastic cup cover the fish with water and freeze. Each guest gets a cup tell them they have to help free nemo, they can use their imagination doing it the only thing they can't do is add more water to it. They have to melt the water and get nemo out whomever does it first wins! For a door prize place a nemo picture under a chair and tell everyone to look under their seat whoever finds nemo gets the door prize. Hope this helps.

We actually just did a finding nemo party for DD 1st birthday. It ended up more under the sea than nemo and we didnt have to many games but if you want to check out some pics https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.4212212267412.179358.1348176513&type=3&l=9bcfa79710

Omg, this is adorable! I love every single thing about your party! I just about died when I realized your daughter's dress even fit the party theme with a "bubbles" look. You should seriously go into planning kids' parties... what a fantastic job you did. I totally saved some of your pictures for the future. I love the wreath on the door, how did you make that??

I have not read all the responses, sorry if this has been mentioned already.
For our wedding we bought what they call ivy bowls at Michael's they also have them at any craft store. They cost about .75 to .99 cents a piece. We then bought a big bag of rocks that go into an aquarium. We put some of the rocks in the bottom of the bowl then filled it water and then put a fish in each bowl. We used these as the centerpieces. Everyone loved them and then were able to take the fish and bowl home at the end of the night. I thought this would make a great centerpiece idea for a Nemo themed party.
