need help finding footwear for DD's orthotics (SMOs)

I wonder if anyone on here can help.... DD and I are heading back in September and it's going to be HOT. She wears Suresteps SMOs. So she HAS to wear socks, but I'm wondering if anyone has suggestions on if there are any sandals out there that might work. I just feel bad keeping her in her braces, socks, and tennis shoes the whole time. Right now she pretty much just wears converse all-stars all the time. They're not leather, so that's helpful, but still... Does anyone have any experience they can share? Thanks!

I had to click simply because I had no idea what you were talking about, but when I googled Surestep SMOs, it showed a little girl with sandals on. Right over her SMOs. They were actually really cute! I have issues with arch support, so I like Keen shoes. They offer holes, but more support than others. They are pricey though. Again, sorry to butt in! Have a wonderful trip with your DD. I would love to do that!
