I want (and need) to get some sort of new toy storage for dd. I've narrowed it down to one of those cube type shelves that you use with the canvas drawers. The shelf is on sale this week at Lowes for $40 but the drawers are still $7 each! I need 9 of them and really can't stand to pay $63 for them when the entire stand was only $40. Has anyone seen them cheaper?

My local Dollar Tree sells fabric drawers. I have found them in the past near the hangers and laundry bags. They aren't as sturdy as the canvas drawers, but you can't beat the price. :thumbsup2

Hope that helps,
Laura

Those baskets/bins go on sale at target and I've even got a few on clearance. If you aren't in a super hurry you could get a few of those at a time, so you don't break the bank. Maybe even start with the dollar store ones so you can get things organized and then/when you are at Target or Walmart and see them at a price you are willing to pay for them pick up a few.

My one suggestion, if you are planning to keep one item in the basket, say all the Hot Wheel cars are going to go in this spot, put a picture on the outside of the basket of some hot wheel cars, then the kid knows what goes in that space when they are putting away the toys.
