Need help deciding.

I just found out my sons daycare closes for 6 days including Labor day weekend and so now I am considering a quick jaunt to Disneyland, am I crazy? It would be a budget trip and seemingly quick, but neither of those things bother us. Are the crowds out of control or is there still fun to be had despite the crowds? We just went in April and had a so so time and I kind of want a do over. Opinions and advice appreciated.

There is always fun to be had! I'm sure it's going to to be busy, though. What made your last trip so-so? If it was crowds, or heat and crowds, that may still be an issue. But it is certainly possible to have fun despite the crowds.

Are you going just over the weekend or days leading up to or days after? That weekend is also a marathon weekend so it will definitely be busy. I think Monday would be better since a lot of out of town travelers will be flying home and during the week should be pretty nice since everyone is back to school.

I should also say that if I have a chance to go to DL I wouldn't turn it down. Even on a peak day, in the heat, and for 1 day! To me it's magical no matter what and just being prepared ahead of time for heat/crowds helps so you go in with certain expectations and then if it's not as bad as you thought it'd be you'll be pleasantly surprised.

We have been in the parks on Christmas week and so the crowds are not a super big issue. I am not sure what made the last trip so-so part of it I think was my husband, he is not as huge a Disney fan as the rest of us are and so that can play a toll. This trip would not include him. I find myself missing the magic and want to go just want to make sure I am not crazy for even considering it.

We would be there on the weekend. Daycare is closed Friday through Wednesday and so we would go on Friday and leave Monday or Tuesday. Maybe I need to just change it to the week and take the whole week off.

If you can go starting Labor Day and be there all week that should be a pretty good time as far as crowds go. Since DH isn't going and he was part of the reason for an ok trip then this one should be a lot of fun for you and DS whether there's a lot of people or not. I took DD when she was 6 and it was so fun just the two of us!

Definitely not crazy! It sounds like fun to me.

Any chance you can get to get to DLR I would, love it. I miss living down the street from it!
